The Dallas Medical Team, led by Jon and Pat Christiansen, had a very successful mission to San Cristobal, Alta Verapaz. The team was in Guatemala from January 14 through January 25, 2006. When asked if he saw any miracles, Jon replied, "The whole mission was a miracle."
Sixty-three people traveled from the U.S. and Canada and were joined by Guatemalans, including nurses from Guatemala City, student nurses from Coban and high school students from the American School in Guatemala City, who functioned as translators.
The Dallas team served 1812 patients in and around San Cristobal. This included 1380 clinics, 330 Dental and 102 surgical patients. There were 658 adult patients and 1154 children. The team was very excited to have performed two emergency C-Sections, assisting the happy moms in bringing their beautiful new babies into the world. |
