The Cascades Oregon Medical Team inaugurated the renovations and equipment of a Surgery and Clinic Center in a former military base in Sololá.

The former base is currently being managed by the private Universidad Del Valle and known as their Altiplano Campus.

The remodeled Surgery center has a wing for patient after care with a capacity of over 25 hospital beds.

Renovations include a wing that now offers four operating rooms.  A separate structure has been remodeled and now has 6 individual clinics, an ultrasound facility and an area for the pharmacy.

Using the facility for the first time, the Medical team from Oregon, lead by Dr. Denis Schulke, performed 93 surgeries which included 21 children and 1,796 clinics including 1,402 children that were attended by this team. This team did fund-raising in Oregon and made an important contribution to the renovation costs.
