HELPS Guatemala received an official letter from Porta Hotels confirming a donation of $2338.00 This donation is earmarked for the January Educational In- Service training workshop.  This workshop follows the model used with great success for several years now.  The January workshop will be enhanced by the participation of the winners of the National MAESTRO 100 PUNTOS Program honoring ten winners.  The winners were selected from applications open to all public and private school teachers throughout the country for excelling in primary education methodology.    The training workshop will be held at the classic downtown property,  Hotel PanAmerican.  In addition, the Hotel Pan American has offered  very reduced rates for meals and lodging so the original donation will be stretched even further. 

Porta Hotel is happy to support the Maestro 100 Puntos Program this way and to support the HELPS Educational Initiative.  A long time ally and host to innumerable medical and community development teams in Guatemala is the PORTA HOTEL Corporation.
